“I am happy to join KA Wellness and Nutrition, an excellent approach to achieving health goals!  I graduated with honors in 1994 from YSU with a Bachelors in Science in Nutrition. My primary focus in dietetics has been diabetes education. I have 29 years of hospital based and outpatient teaching experience. I obtained my CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) in 1998 and have maintained that certification. My favorite part of my career is working with the clients, hearing their stories and seeing their success. I have multiple interests outside of work: dogs, flower gardening, crafts, walking, swimming and stationary biking and playing flute in community bands. I am certified in Wholyfit, a Christian exercise program that uses scripture with movement, and am a certified Grief Educator. Finally I am a Mom, a Grandmom, and even Great Grandma to a blended family. I am looking forward to my time at KA Wellness and Nutrition!"

My Story

I've had plenty of times in my life when I wasn't "well." I believe God has pushed me through these periods of my life in order to help me grow in my own wellness. I am no where near perfect, but I feel blessed to have the ability to share, empower and inspire wellness in other people. If that is what you are looking for, I am here to help you.

I graduated with a Food and Nutrition degree from Youngstown State University and have been working as a dietitian for over 11 years. I have had the ability to help people in the rehab, hospital and outpatient settings. This experience helped me realize that my passion is for preventative wellness.  I believe that our overall health is rooted in our gut. The state of our gut microbiome causes our body to either thrive, or suffer. There are so many things that are out of our control, but what we can control is what we put into our body. This is why I am here- to help share this with those who don't understand it. Each of our bodies are different, and we all need different things in order to find balance and health.
