Do you need a reset after a fun, but over-indulgent summer? Did you find yourself wanting to focus on meal planning, making new & healthy recipes, but the summer has sped by without seeing your goals come to fruition? Or maybe you are on a weight loss journey, but you feel stuck and unsure how to move forward?
KA Wellness and Nutrition will be holding another round of our Health and Weight Loss Challenge, timed perfectly for those of you who are ready to take some action. This challenge has helped many people succeed, with weight loss stories of up to forty-five pounds in just six week! We have seen countless people learn how to turn from unsuccessful and unhealthy weight loss attempts and turn to healthy and intentional macronutrient-specific planning for focused weight loss. We really strive to help everyone grow in knowledge of how to optimally fuel their bodies while losing weight at the same time.

If you are interested in the challenge, or you are thinking about it, but aren't quite sure, see some FAQ's below.
When does the challenge start and how long does it last?
The challenge kicks off on Saturday September 13th with a Facebook Live session with Kayla, Registered Dietitian, and will be followed by the actual start date of the challenge on Monday, September 15th. It will last for six weeks, ending on Friday, October 24th.
Do I need to attend anything in-person, or is it all online?
All of the challenge will take place via online, app or social media. You will recieve communication via email weekly, then you will have opportunity to engage in a private Facebook group for accountability and support, and you will have the ability to chat daily with a registered dietitian for help.
How much does it cost? Can I win anything?
The cost to register is $45.00. There will be a prize at the end for the top 5 participants.
How do you get "points" in order to win?
Points are given based upon percent of weight loss, daily food logging, daily exercise and posting on social media (extra credit).
Can I do it with a friend?
Yes, we encourage signing up with a friend, spouse, family member or even coworker or group of coworkers. If you would desire to do it with a larger group, please let us know and we can make that happen!
Do I need to use an app?
Yes, it is required that you download the Cronometer App and use that for your daily food tracking. If this is intimidating to you, please understand that it is easier than you think! We have had countless participants get the hang of using the app that otherwise are not tech-savvy.
What if I don't want to lose weight, I just need to prioritize being healthy?
You can still participate! Just by engaging in the fun of the challenge through weekly recipes, challenges and goal-setting, we have seen countless people leave with healthier lifestyles and decision-making abilities- not just weight loss!
What if I will be gone for several days of the challenge? Will I be disqualified?
If you have a planed vacation or leave of absence during the challenge, we will not disqualify you. However, if you do not track during those days or engage in daily exercise, you will not receive the points for those days. Otherwise, you can resume the challenge when you return and get right back at it! Just be sure to let us know about your absence.
What if I have never done anything like this before?
Take a leap and do it! We will support you all the way through!
What if I have diabetes, high cholesterol or other medical needs?
Before starting the challenge, please let us know about your medical history to help us set your nutrition targets according to your condition. If your needs are very specific or extensive, you would benefit from a one-on-one visit with one of our registered dietitians before starting the challenge. Please inquire.
